Day
1
Date: 11.19.00
Beard: Trimmed to straight lines under chin and on cheeks.
Effect: None noticable. My beard has been trimmed this way for
the last 3 weeks. |
Day
2
Date: 11.20.00
Beard: Trimmed up under jaw except under chin. Brought top of
beard down to edge of mouth.
Effect: None noticable except by those following the project.
One person said "I thought your beard looked different..."
Too bad I'm only working two days this holiday week. |
Day
3
Date: 11.21.00
Beard: Trimmed to just a thin band along jaw line. Goatee left
on chin.
Effect: While Kris began to refer to me as Aries from the TV show
Xena, most others did not seem to verbally acknowledge any change.
Once again, those following the project were interested in the
new look. |
Day
4
Date: 11.22.00
Beard: Sideburns now trimmed to a point mid-cheek. Wish I had
a hair cut so my sideburns and beard blend a bit better.
Effect: The only time I ventured out today was to pick-up Alice
at the airport. She did not notice immediately, but commented
on my "strange" beard later in the evening. |
Day
5
Date: 11.23.00 Thanksgiving
Beard: Reduced sideburns and cut beard down to a simple rounded
goatee.
Effect: I'm not seeing the same people regularly enough to get
any real reaction. June, my mother-inlaw voted this style as her
favorite. |
Day
6
Date: 11.24.00
Beard: Handlebar mustache with small goatee. Sideburns completely
removed.
Effect: Kris now thinks she is married to Jesse Ventura. We hang
around home so I don't receive any public comment. |
Day
7
Date: 11.25.00
Beard: Completely shaven except for a small "soul patch"
under my lower lip.
Effect: This section of my beard is so light in color that very
few people even notice it. One of the ranch hands at Woodloch
suggested that I dye it blue or green to make it more noticeable.
I'll consider it... |
