What's Up?
With the turning of Fall and thoughts of the potentially long, white winter ahead, Kris and Scott began preparations for a creating a colorful Spring by planting a variety of outdoor and indoor bulbs. The weekend's unseasonably warm temperatures provided for comfortable planning, planting, coffee consumption and relaxation.

Left: Kris uses her special mix of water. Peat moss, compost and top soil to assure that each tulip will have a well drained, comfortable winters bed.

Right: Even though the bulbs were buried 6 to 8 inches, this didn't stop the local squirrels (not pictured) from immediately trying to unearth them. Here Scott attempts to detour them by installing some protective netting.

Indoors too?
While the outdoor bulbs won't be surfacing for another 5 or 6 months, Kris perpared some Papewhite Zivas for our indoor winter enjoyment. Meanwhile, the squirrels watched patiently through the window.
