All hands were called on deck late Tuesday evening for the much anticipated arrival of the fifth member of the Klenk family. Uncle Scott and Aunt Kris, also known as "Auntie Best", were called to serve as parental back-up as expectant parents Katie and Steve quickly packed, cleaned and sped off to nearby Fairview Southdale hospital through a balmy, fall evening drizzle. As Stuart Klenk, 7 slept soundly in his bed, his younger brother William was having a bit more difficulty. He was going to have a new little brother and was no longer going to be the baby of the family. Eventually after an hour of dinosaur stories William decided to call it a night along with his Aunt and Uncle. A 6:30 am phonecall from the hospital Wednesday morning explained that very little progress had been made since the night before. As the boys were packed up for another day at school, their parents waited patiently in the delivery room. Finally at 2:15 PM, the moment arrive and with "one and half" pushes Elliot Steven entered the world to great his to exhausted, yet elated parents. Aunt Kris, Stuart and William hearing of the news rushed to the hospital to meet the new boy in the family. And what a surprise it was, not only had Elliot arrived, he had brought his brothers some presents, two of the bastes computer games, Frogger II and Backyard Baseball. What an incredible surprise. Later
that afternoon, Uncle Scott stopped over at the hospital to check in on
the parents and to meet his new nephew. All was peaceful and Elliot was
already doing what his parents had been dreaming of for the last 24 hours...
sleeping.
